RF microneedling for skin texture and firmness
During radiofrequency microneedling, fine electrodes enter selected skin depths and deliver controlled heat. The mechanical microchannels and RF energy may stimulate tissue-remodelling processes. Treatment goal, depth and energy are selected according to the area, skin type and clinical findings; this is not a laser treatment.

Suitability and medical assessment
The consultation considers the skin findings, treatment goal, previous procedures, medication, bleeding or scarring tendency and relevant medical conditions. Active infection, cold sores, open skin or inflammatory disease in the area must first be treated or assessed. Pregnancy, blood-thinning medication, impaired healing and implanted electrical or metallic devices must be checked against the specific device instructions.
Treatment process
After cleansing, disinfection and, where appropriate, local anaesthesia, a sterile single-use needle cartridge is used. Needle depth, energy and number of passes are adjusted to the region and skin thickness. The needles create microchannels and deliver RF heat at selected depths. Treatment time and session number depend on the findings and individual tolerance.
Aftercare and sun protection
Temporary redness, swelling, tightness, dryness, pinpoint bleeding or fine crusting may occur. Cleanse gently, avoid rubbing and follow the individual skincare instructions. Acids, retinoids, exfoliation, intense heat and UV exposure should initially be avoided; broad-spectrum SPF 50+ is part of aftercare.
Outcomes and possible risks
Changes in texture develop gradually, and several sessions or later maintenance may be appropriate. A particular degree of tightening or permanent effect cannot be guaranteed. In addition to temporary redness and swelling, risks include pigment changes, infection, herpes reactivation and scarring. Serious complications - including burns, fat loss, lasting contour changes and nerve damage - have also been reported with certain uses.
